Information collected and how it is used
When you provide The Sapinda Rainbow Foundation (“The Foundation”) with personal information, we take all reasonable steps to ensure that the information will be stored and processed securely, in accordance with this policy and with data protection legislation.
Different types of personally identifiable information are collected by The Foundation in order to optimize the charitable network and keep you informed about recent developments in our organization. These collected data include, but are not limited to: name, mailing address, telephone numbers, email addresses, credit card information and other information that may be needed for our charitable work. All this information is provided voluntarily by you through application forms, email messages sent to The Foundation, submitted forms through Payfast, identification forms in social media, information provided by the telephone and other means.
The Foundation also collects different types of non-personally identifiable information about its website visitors. These include but are not limited to referral URLs, IP addresses, browser types, etc. Some of this information is collected through Cookies, which are small pieces of data that are sent to your browser from a web server and are stored on your computer’s hard drive. In addition, we may disclose information about you to a non-affiliated third party at your request or if you consent in writing to the disclosure.
To comply with relevant law, we must maintain a record of all contributions made to The Foundation. We are also required to hold personal information to administer donation declarations. In this regard, we will release personal data to third parties such as tax administrations where we have a duty to do so but only to the extent that such duty requires.
Updating your details
The Foundation relies on the accuracy of your personal information. We are working on ways to make it easier for you to review and correct the information that The Foundation maintains about you. In the meantime, if you change your email address or are aware that any of the other information we hold about you is inaccurate or out of date, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You are entitled to request a copy of the information The Foundation holds about you and to ask for any inaccuracies to be corrected.
We automatically collect and store the following information about your visit:

We use the IP address to direct internet traffic to you. This address can be translated to determine the domain name of your service provider (e.g., abc-company.com, xyz-school.edu, and so on)

• The date and time you visited this site
